About:
I believe patriotic Americans want to thank our men and women in uniform who sacrifice so much to defend our freedom. One way to thank someone who is serving or who has served in the military is to give them a Token of Appreciation™.
When my son enlisted in the military, my family gained an even greater appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform.  Our troops deserve our respect and thanks.

The Design:
Front: Each branch of the military is listed from left to right in order of its creation: Army (14 June 1775), Navy (13 October 1775), Marine Corps (10 November 1775), Coast Guard (4 August 1790), Air Force (18 September 1947). The waving flag of the United States of America signifies our allegiance to the ideals of freedom, liberty, and justice for all.

Back: Patterned after the Department of Defense insignia, the thirteen stars represent the United States and they signify glory. The laurel stands for honors received in combat defending the peace represented by the olive branch.

General Information:
Challenge coins (like this Token of Appreciation™) are a really big deal in the military.  Find out more about them at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenge_coin

Mission:

Our troops sacrifice so much of themselves to serve our country and they deserve our respect and thanks. All too often they are not given credit for their selfless acts of bravery and their sense of duty. Our mission is to provide people with a tangible token of appreciation that can be given to someone who is serving or who has served in the military.

Some proceeds from your Token of Appreciation™ help support our troops, the wounded, and families of the fallen through organizations like the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) and TAPS – the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.
Coins are $10 each + Shipping & Handling.
